A commuter in Telangana was traveling by bus from Godavarikhani to Karimnagar with a live rooster. Noticing that, the bus conductor, G Tirupathi, asked the owner to make payment for the rooster, as any person traveling along with a living animal is liable to pay for the ticket.

Interestingly, Ali had hidden the rooster under a cloth. But, after a while, the conductor noticed the bird. However, the passenger, Mohammad Ali, tried convincing the conductor. Ultimately, he had to pay Rs 30 bus fare for the rooster.

Reacting to the incident, Road Transport Corporation (RTC) officials said that it is against norms to allow animals onto buses.

However, since the conductor did not deboard the passenger and slapped tickets instead and allowed him to travel, a departmental action is likely to be taken against the conductor.
