While giving a speech in the Lok Sabha on Monday, PM Narendra Modi took a jibe at the Congress party saying that its [Congress’s] policy is “divide and rule”.

“Congress has become the leader of Tukde Tukde Gang,” the PM said.

He added, “Those who cannot stop us through democratic ways are indulging in indiscipline here, but they can’t stop us. This is the pessimistic way of the Congress. They believe they can’t contribute anything but might as well play the spoiler . This country is supreme, immortal and invincible.”

The PM also invoked Jawaharlal Nehru in his speech. “Because of you, I don’t take Nehru ji’s name. Today I am going to only talk about Nehru ji. Pt Nehru said from the Red Fort that sometimes war in Korea can impact us and so the price of commodities increased in India. The first PM of the country was helpless,” the PM said.

‘You let coronavirus spread & cause chaos, ‘hadd kar di’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress, saying that the party let coronavirus spread and caused chaos by provoking migrants to defy Covid curbs.

“Iss Corona kaal me me Congress ne toh hadd kar di [Congress crossed all limits during the Corona pandemic],” PM Modi said during his speech in Parliament.

He added, “In the first wave, when people were told to stay where they were, the Congress instigated them to leave Mumbai. They even provided tickets for the migrants to go from Mumbai to UP and Bihar. You created a ruckus, you violated the lockdown norms and pushed migrants into trouble.”

Congress hasn’t shed its ego even after facing electoral defeat in multiple states for decades now, the PM said.

He stated in Parliament that the Congress has not been in power in multiple states, including West Bengal, Tripura and Tamil Nadu, for many consecutive decades now. “These states are still not ready to accept you [Congress]he said.

“Even after so many defeats, over so many decades, neither has your [Congress party’s] arrogance gone nor has your ecosystem let you shed your arrogance,” said PM Modi.
