Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath of “lying” about his government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Monday told Parliament about the Delhi government allegedly asking people to leave the national capital during the lockdown. Calling PM Modi’s remark ‘false’, Kejriwal said, “PM ne choti baat Kari hai… jhooth bola hai unhone [PM made a low remark, he lied],

“Mein is gandi rajneeti mein nahin padna chahta hoon [I don’t want to partake in this ugly politics]he added.

Kejriwal also hit out at Yogi Adityanath for using foul language against him. “Jis bhasha ka Yogi ji ne prayog kiya maine bhi wohi basha mein jawab diya. [Yogi ji used foul language against me and I replied to him in the same manner. He lied],

Kejriwal was referring to Monday night’s Twitter spat with Yogi Adityanath where the two leaders accused each other of lockdown mismanagement by their respective governments during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kejriwal also took the BJP over Hindutva politics. “Our Hindutva is correct…..BJP does politics over lynching.”

Asked about Punjab, Kejriwal said that even as the Congress has fielded its chief ministerial candidate Charanjit Singh Channi from two seats, he will lose the election on both. “Channi Punjab mein donno seat haare ga.. guarantee leta hoon mein [Channi will lose both the seats in Punjab. I take guarantee of that],

Speaking about the chances of the Congress in the upcoming Assembly polls, Kejriwal said, “Congress cannot do anything.”
